Your Role In Our Team

The Maintenance Team Lead oversees technician assignments, responds to equipment issues, and coordinates repairs while promoting safety, compliance, and continuous improvement. The role supports system monitoring, fault analysis, and effective use of CMMS tools, contributing to a clean, organized, and efficient operation through collaboration and technical expertise.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a skilled electromechanical technician with hands‑on experience in automated environments and a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Familiar with control systems, basic PLC logic, and comfortable working with digital tools, you approach tasks with attention to detail, a strong sense of safety, and a practical mindset. You naturally guide others, set the pace, and lead by example to maintain high standards, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary training from a technical school or vocational program (e.g., Electrician, Millwright)
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
  • Practical mindset with the ability to learn new tasks quickly
  • Excellent PC skills and ability to work with digital systems
  • Strong sense of safety, responsibility, and professionalism
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and shift schedules
  • Committed to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient workspace
Skills / Experience Required
  • 2 years minimum experience as an Electromechanical Technician
  • Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing automated systems (e.g., conveyors, cranes, hoists)
  • Skilled in mechanical repairs and use of hand/power tools (a must)
  • Familiarity with AC systems up to 600/400/480 V and DC systems up to 24 V
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring tools
  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical drive technology (e.g., motors and gears)
  • Familiarity with control technology (e.g., controls, inverters)
  • Basic understanding of PLC logic
  • Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 100 ft (30 m) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness
  • Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55 °F to ‑15 °F (13 °C to ‑26 °C), (PPE provided)
  • Willing to work days, evenings, nights, and weekends (shifts based on hire date and operational needs)
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee maintenance technician duties and shift assignments
  • Serve as first responder to maintenance calls; resolve issues or delegate as needed
  • Perform planned and unplanned electrical and mechanical repairs
  • Ensure effective use of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Provide technical escalation and general support to equipment operators
  • Monitor system performance and maintain awareness of operational status
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults
  • Conduct routine equipment cleaning as part of maintenance
  • Maintain clean, organized, and clutter‑free work areas
  • Ensure proper use and accountability of tools and spare parts
  • Apply and uphold 5S principles
  • Complete administrative tasks and documentation of maintenance activities
  • Replace and set up electrical and mechanical components
  • Accountable for audit outcomes, individual efficiency, and downtime reduction
  • Comply with safety regulations and actively support a safe work environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned
