Tooling Technician, Spec (Finance)
With no supervision operates necessary tool room equipment for the purpose of making or reworking dies and tooling for headers or secondary equipment. Continuous Improvement of processes and products are an ongoing function of this position.
THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION.
Responsibilities
- Ability to operate all tool room equipment with no supervision to meet necessary quality and productivity requirements.
- Ability to read all manufacturing and tooling prints and select and prepare necessary tools to meet print tolerances.
- Utilizes all tool room gauging equipment.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area.
- Follows company safety guidelines.
- Performs preventative maintenance when required.
- All other duties assigned.

- Trains less experienced employees.
- All other duties assigned.
- 3-5 years previous experience as Tool Maker in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience in Fastener Industry a plus.
- Experience using a variety of manual machines to manufacture tooling.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to read blue prints.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Required HS Diploma/GED OR Relevant experience.
- Strong both verbal and written communication skills.
