Job DescriptionThis position will be the lead individual responsible for all CARE mechanical conveyor discussions and activities. The individual must be proficient in 2D CAD, lead all assembly, paint, and body‑shop activities, and oversee the entire conveyor system life cycle.
Responsibilities- Thoroughly understand all types of conveyor systems, including Power & Free, overhead, inverted, EMS, roller, friction drive, skillet, pallet systems, and air‑b‑drip.
- Lead all conveyor‑related discussions and issue tracking.
- Conduct in‑depth studies for cording, chain pulls, drive, vertical curve, and cycle time.
- Review and approve contractor design drawings.
- Report to the Client CARE Project Managers.
- Maintain a complete understanding of items listed in the detailed engineering phase of the project document.
- Apply all industry installation standards.
- Minimum of 15 years automotive project experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of client or equivalent conveyor installation experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, or project experience approved by the Client Project Manager.
- In‑depth understanding of the Client conveyor standards.
- Familiarity with industry safety, fire protection, and ventilation requirements.
- Compliance with general staffing matrix requirements.
