Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 14 Years with bachelor’s degree; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD. An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
- To be considered for this position, applicants must either currently hold one of the professional certifications listed below or obtain one prior to their start date. Continued certification is required as a condition of employment.
- CASP+ CE
- CISSP (or Associate)
- CSSLP
- Security+ CE
- Project+
- Agile Scrum master
- Linux and scripting experience.
- Have a track record of having utilized scripting in a day-to-day operation.
- Proven capability designing, implementation and modification of IT deployment tools.
- Proven proficiency in preparing reports for stakeholders pertaining to the technology utilized.
- Skilled at achieving timely/on-schedule completion of assigned tasks, reports, and briefings as necessary for the customer.
- Maintain tech/cyber awareness by staying current on advances in the field of IT.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Active Top‑Secret security clearance.
Peraton is seeking a Sr Network Engineer with the Federal Strategic Cyber programs to support a high-impact cybersecurity and technology program focused on securing global infrastructure and enabling innovative, effective, and secure business processes.
Location:
Beltsville, MD.
You will join the Federal Strategic Cyber Program, a multidisciplinary initiative that delivers comprehensive support across the following domains:
- Technical and engineering
- Data analytics
- Cybersecurity
- Management and operations
- Logistical coordination
- Administrative services
The program’s mission is to advise and assist the Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate in safeguarding a global cyber infrastructure. This includes the protection of networks, systems, information assets, and mobile devices. The program also plays a proactive role in identifying, assessing, and responding to emerging cyber risks and threats.
You will:- Manage ESXi infrastructure and perform day-to-day health checks and reports as necessary.
- Develop new trends toward platform growth to align with new technologies.
- Coordinate and collaborate with customer teams and stakeholders as needed to brief on the health and functionality of the infrastructure and updates as needed.
- Participate in research and implementation of new security tools and techniques.
- Thorough understanding of Linux and scripting.
