Weekend House Supervisor (RN)
Join our nursing leadership team at Cedar Crest Hospital & Residential Treatment Center in Belton, Texas. We are looking for a House Supervisor who is passionate about behavioral health and committed to making a difference in the lives of patients in our community.
Position Details- Location:
Belton, Texas - Shift: Saturday & Sunday, Day Shift (7:00 am – 7:00 pm)

Responsible for day‑to‑day oversight of nursing operations, ensuring adequate staffing and delivering high‑quality behavioral health and nursing services. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to meet residents’ physical, biopsychosocial, developmental, and cultural needs and addresses any complaints.
Key Responsibilities- Anticipate and manage changes in census and acuity, allocating nursing resources accordingly.
- Model outstanding customer service and emphasize patient safety.
- Enforce and interpret policies for patient and resident care.
- Ensure proper staffing ratios, cover call‑offs, and manage vacation schedules.
- Complete chart checks, seclusion/restraint logs, nursing assessments, MARs, and report sheets.
- Perform rounds at shift start and conduct random audits.
- Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) with staff orientation, competency and coaching.
- Provide mentoring and training as needed.
- Maintain facility compliance with professional, regulatory and governmental standards.
- Monitor and evaluate patient care processes and outcomes.
- Coordinate care, including physician orders and diagnostics, and order consultations.
- Document medical, behavioral health information and nursing care.
- Administer medications and maintain records per company policies.
- Develop and revise patient care plans with measurable goals and interventions.
- Prioritize tasks and delegate staff to ensure quality patient care.
- Serve as the leader on shift for all admissions and discharges, informing physicians of changes.
- Utilize administrator‑on‑call for additional attention situations.
- Provide direct care as required.
- BSN from an accredited nursing school preferred.
- Active RN license in Texas required.
- Greater than 1 year of RN experience preferred; at least 1 year required.
- Experience in psychiatric/recovery programs preferred.
- Experience as charge RN or other leadership position strongly preferred.
- CPR certification required.
- De‑escalation/ Restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
- First aid certification may be required based on state or facility policies.
- Current certification or license to teach within Texas required.
