Responsibilities- Records the spoken word in the courtroom by the Judge, attorneys, witnesses, spectators, deputies, etc., as they are spoken while signifying who is speaking and adding punctuation and time.
- Prepares the official transcripts/Reporter's Records as requested or ordered by the Court of Appeals.
- Maintains a daily log of cases heard along with worksheets for future reference.
- Files exhibits with the District Clerk's office after preparing an exhibit receipt.
- Performs related work as required.
High school diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized training and two (2) years of experience as a court reporter; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Physical Demands- Performs sedentary work that involves walking or standing some of the time and involves exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular and recurring basis or sustained keyboard operations.

- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver s license with an acceptable driving history.
- Requires state of Texas Court Reporter s Certificate.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language.

Additional QualificationsProposed Compensation:
$44.75 - $52.43
