ResponsibilitiesUnder the general direction of the Director of The Center for Academic Excellence, the Academic Success Coach collaborates with departmental and college/program leadership to provide comprehensive academic advising services to assigned student populations. This includes, but is not limited to, course scheduling, assisting students in the exploration of life goals, the exploration of vocational goals, and choosing a program of study.
The Academic Success Coach provides leadership to students in navigating academic issues through the use of UMHB’s student success platform and coordinated care units, and serves as the early academic alert point person. Collaborates with the Director of The Center for Academic Excellence and college leadership to identify, create, and monitor retention strategies for struggling student populations.
