Description Position Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for the efficient operation of one of our full-service branch banks while promoting market growth. Responsible for providing a high quality of customer service, cross selling, and comprehensive, prompt and efficient handling of customer transactions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for growing loans and deposits of the office through personal calling and sales efforts, excellent customer service, and cross-sales to walk-in traffic of the branch.
  • Provides exceptional customer service by greeting customers and assessing customer needs. Answer questions regarding bank products and services. Manages customer portfolio, services relationships and cross sells appropriate products and services to meet customer needs, assuring customer satisfaction, and achieving personal and retail sales goals.
  • Accepts loan applications including obtaining income verification documents and perform consumer loan closings.
  • Responsible for direct participation in the achievement of personal and retail sales goals.
  • State insurance licenses may be required for the sale of credit insurance.
  • Generate production reports such as sales production and daily action plans.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with banking partners to maximize sales opportunities and achieve minimum sales standards.
  • Makes appropriate customer referrals to other bank functional areas such as Real Estate Lending, Wealth Management, and Commercial departments.
  • Effectively handles more complex customer problems and inquiries as well as ensuring that resolution and follow-up are completed in an accurate and timely matter.
  • May perform safe deposit box operations such as opening new accounts, closing boxes, allowing customers access to their boxes, and account maintenance.
  • Assists customers in opening new accounts and all related services, issuing CDs, and closing all deposit accounts.
  • Completes thorough sales tracking to ensure goals are being met.
  • Actively participates in all bank promotions/campaigns.
  • Participates in community organizations, projects, and functions representing the bank in a professional manner.
  • Develops new business by visiting prospect businesses outside of the branch.
  • Reports issues of the branch to the appropriate supervisor/area.
  • Handles customer complaints. Counsels customers with special problems or in disagreement with bank policies and procedures.
  • Oversees branch appearance, reports any maintenance issues to appropriate facilities manager or management.
  • Maintains working knowledge of bank policies and procedures with respect to all Retail applications.
  • Actively upholds the organization’s vision, mission and values, encompassing mutual respect, honoring commitments, working with integrity and accepting responsibility for own actions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to EEO policy, shows respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, promotes working environment free of harassment of any type.
  • Assures compliance with all bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
  • Has a strong commitment and dedication to internal and external customer service.
  • Can complete the HPG sales process designed for this position.
Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from a two year college, technical college or university. Five or more years of sales &/or customer service experience or combination of education and work experience. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school or technical industry related curriculum, should be business, financial industry, or sales related.
  • Basic knowledge of bank operations, products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
  • Proficient in computer terminal and personal computer operation; mainframe computer system; software programs of diverse functionality used by the bank, including but not limited to, desktop applications and administrative programs and resources (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).
