Our company is seeking a dynamic and innovative Senior Weld Engineer (Large Assembly) to join our team. This is a permanent position within our Manufacturing Department, where you will be responsible for overseeing large assembly projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest standard. The role involves working with a variety of materials and welding techniques, such as laser welding, to create high-quality products for our clients.

You will be part of a team that values creativity, innovation, and technical expertise.

Responsibilities:
As a Senior Weld Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

1. Overseeing the execution of large assembly projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
2. Using CAD, Inventor, Autocad, Solidworks, and other design software to create detailed drawings and models of assembly projects.
3. Conducting strength and size calculations to ensure that all products are structurally sound and meet the necessary specifications.
4. Using your knowledge of metallurgy to select the best materials for each project and to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
5. Implementing and maintaining ISO 9000 quality management standards throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
6. Using FEA and simulation techniques to predict how products will perform under different conditions and to identify any potential issues before they arise.
7. Providing detailed instructions and guidance to the welding team, ensuring they understand the project requirements and are able to execute them accurately.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest advancements in welding technology and incorporating them into our manufacturing processes where appropriate.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Senior Weld Engineer position, you must possess the following qualifications:

1. A bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on large assembly projects.
3. Proficiency in CAD, Inventor, Autocad, Solidworks, and other design software.
4. A thorough understanding of ISO 9000 quality management standards and experience implementing them in a manufacturing setting.
5. CWI certification is preferred.
6. Extensive knowledge of metallurgy and experience working with a variety of materials.
7.

Experience with FEA and simulation techniques.
8. Proficiency in laser welding, sheet metal work, and other welding techniques.
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise.
10. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
