Hormel Foods Beloit Plant has openings for Production Professionals on both 2nd and 3rd shift. Overtime and weekend work is required. The Beloit plant specializes in the production of Chili and Salsa products. Incumbents are responsible for learning a wide variety of jobs and duties across the plant such as: grinding, batching, cooking, canning, boxing and stacking product, sanitation, operating forklifts, verifying quality and accuracy of products, all while making people and food safety the number one priority.

Job Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older (all plant positions)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Follow all company rules for food safety and employee safety.
  • The willingness & ability to drive a forklift consistent with company standards.
  • The ability to use a computer to complete job related tasks.
  • The ability to perform repetitive hand & wrist motion throughout a shift.
  • The ability to lift/push/pull 50+lbs as required throughout the course of a shift.
  • The ability to twist and bend the body as necessary to perform job related tasks.
  • The ability to kneel/squat/climb as necessary to complete job related tasks.
  • The ability to perform grasping & pinching motions to complete job related tasks.

Working Conditions:

  • Refrigerated and Warehouse environments - temperatures can be above 60 and below 40 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Typical work week consists of an 8 hour shift, Monday through Saturday. Please note, the company may require seniority based overtime work.

Wages:

Starting pay is $24.98per hour. The Beloit Plant has 7 different paygrades:

A Rate:
Starting Pay

B Rate: $25.13

C Rate: $25.28

D Rate: $25.43

E Rate: $25.78

J Rate: $27.53
