CAD Drafter:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a CAD Drafter for a contrct to hire role. This position is onsite at our client's Beloit, Wisconsin office.

CAD Drafter - Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level CAD Drafter to join our engineering team. In this role, you will support senior designers and engineers by creating and modifying 3D models, assemblies, and detailed production drawings using Solid Works. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with basic CAD experience to grow in a hands-on environment while contributing to real product development and manufacturing projects.

CAD Drafter - Responsibilities:

• Create and modify 3D parts, assemblies, and 2D drawings using Solid Works software.

• Prepare detailed technical drawings from sketches, markups, or verbal instructions provided by engineers.

• Update and revise existing drawings and models as needed based on design changes or feedback.

• Ensure drawings comply with company drafting standards and GD&T principles.

• Assist with basic tolerance stackup analysis under guidance from senior team members.

• Organize and maintain drawing files and documentation using Solid Works file management tools.

• Use Microsoft Office products to create BOMs, reports, and communicate with team members.

• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve drawing-related questions.

• Perform other drafting and support tasks as assigned.

CAD Drafter - Mandatory Skills:

• Associate degree or certificate in Drafting, CAD, Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in Solid Works, including creating/editing Parts, Assemblies, and Drawings.

• Basic understanding of tolerance stackups and how tolerances affect part fit and assembly performance.

• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

• Fundamental understanding of mechanical drafting standards, GD&T basics, and technical drawing principles.

• Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, clean work.

• Good communication skills and willingness to learn from feedback.

CAD Drafter - Nice-to-Have Skills:

• 0-2 years of experience using Solid Works in a professional or internship setting.

• Familiarity with basic manufacturing processes.

• Exposure to other CAD tools, such as AutoCAD.

This is a contract to hire position.
