Lead Teacher

INFANT TEACHERS NEEED ASAP! Our infant room is full and we need more staff! Little Sprouts Nursery and Preschool is hiring teachers for our infant room.

$500 hiring bonus! Individual must be lead teacher qualified with preference given to candidates who have recent experience in a licensed childcare setting. We are looking for individuals who are dedicated to working with children and plan on childcare being their long-term goal. Patience, a high level of observation, and positive communication skills are highly valued in this position.

In addition to the standard interview process, candidates may be asked to spend time in the classroom to get a better feel for the children, routine and center atmosphere.

This position is full-time with paid time off and sick time off available after the 90-day probationary period.

$500 bonus paid in 2 ($250) increments after successful completion of 90 day probationary period.

• Lead by example
• Implement age-appropriate activities to actively engage children
• Encourage social, cognitive and emotional growth
• Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met
• Provide a healthy classroom environment
• Prepare and follow lesson plans
• Prepare and distribute monthly classroom newsletters
• Observe and record childhood milestones
• Complete portfolios for children in care
• Participate in bi-annual classroom conferences

• Minimum state required classes, or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development Credential, or a relevant field. But, will train the right person.
• Infant CPR, or be willing to obtain
• Able to build respectful relationships with children, families, and co-workers
• Willingness to lead a small group of children and maintain an organized classroom
• Ability to create a safe warm environment for the children
• Positive Attitude
• Ability to lift and hold students
• Ability to stand, sit, walk on various surfaces inside and outside
• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening

• Bilingual a plus
• Level 7 or higher on the Registry
