Position: Customer Service Representative
Reports To: Customer Service Supervisor
Schedule- Monday–Thursday: 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM
- Friday: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Compensation: $21.00/hour ($20.00 base + $1.00 shift differential)
Employment Type: Hourly, Non‑Exempt
Position OverviewThe Customer Service Representative is responsible for managing freight orders and delivery appointments while providing exceptional customer support. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and external supply chain partners, maintaining accurate order and load data within TMS systems, resolving delivery issues, and responding promptly to customer inquiries. The position also includes managing claims, maintaining KPI scorecards, and investigating overage, shortage, or damage incidents.
Employees are expected to consistently demonstrate strong values, including modesty, integrity, dependability, work ethic, efficiency, safety, and trust.
Key Responsibilities- Schedule, maintain, and track delivery appointments
- Resolve customer issues and PO due date conflicts
- Maintain accurate load and order status within TMS systems
- Manage freight claims and delivery exceptions
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Effective problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment
- Professional phone skills and etiquette
- Previous customer service experience preferred
