Overview

Schedule: Training 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (5–10 days), regular schedule is flexible; between 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM Monday - Friday.

Pay: $15.00 – $17.00 per hour

We are seeking a dependable and flexible Housekeeper to support a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the Sisters of Mercy. This role is essential to daily life within the community and directly supports the comfort, dignity, and well-being of those who live and work here.

What You’ll Do Daily Cleaning & Care
  • Clean and sanitize resident rooms, offices, hallways, and common areas
  • Dust furniture and fixtures
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs; mop and maintain floors
  • Clean bathrooms including sinks, toilets, showers, and bathtubs
  • Restock housekeeping supplies and maintain inventory
  • Complete periodic deep and annual cleaning as assigned
Safety & Infection Control
  • Follow all safety and infection-control procedures, including proper use of PPE
  • Report hazards, defective equipment, or environmental concerns promptly
  • Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe environment at all times
Team & Community Support
  • Communicate respectfully with coworkers, Sisters, visitors, and staff
  • Demonstrate initiative by noticing what needs to be done and taking action
  • Follow all policies, procedures, and community guidelines
  • Assist with other duties as needed
Required What You Bring
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional residential or housekeeping experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment, supplies, and safe chemical use
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and service-focused
  • Willingness to assist beyond assigned tasks when needed
Preferred
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in a healthcare, residential, or religious setting
  • Appreciation for the mission and values of the Sisters of Mercy
