Registered Dental Hygienist

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our privately owned family dental practice. Monday - Thursday, 8am-5pm (can be flexible if needed). 1 hour recalls, PTO (vacation & sick time, paid holidays). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, perform thorough dental cleanings, and support overall oral health initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team.

• Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including prophylaxis and periodontal therapy
• Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history review
• Take and develop medical imaging as needed for diagnosis and treatment planning
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies
• Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Review medical records and ensure proper documentation review for treatment planning
• Follow infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety
• Support general dentistry procedures by assisting with dental assisting tasks and documentation review
• Manage patient flow efficiently while ensuring comfort and safety during visits

• Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation standards
• Experience with infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy knowledge related to oral health
• Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and patient assessment accurately
• Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments is highly desirable
• Certification as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state licensing requirements
