This position is paid Clerks Award Level 3 $ 37.13
About the opportunity:
The Parish Office Administrator plays a key role in supporting the smooth and welcoming operation of the Parish. This position is responsible for delivering high‑quality administrative support, managing the day‑to‑day functions of the Parish Office, and helping connect clergy, parishioners, volunteers and the broader community. The role also oversees communication channels, including social media and the church website, coordinates hall bookings and service resources, and ensures safe and efficient practices that reflect the values of Newcastle Anglican.

- 2+ years' experience in an administration role or similar
- Well-developed written & verbal communication skills
- Good time management & organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Proficiency in MS Office suite of products as well as experience in database & record management
- Experience with social media
- Sound understanding of WH&S compliance
- Capacity to support the Parish’s inclusive Anglican ethos
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR
- Experience with Xero, Squarespace, Mail Chimp, etc
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organisation
The successful applicant will possess or willingness to obtain the following: NSW Working with Children Check, Criminal History Check and Safe Ministry Training.
