an exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of north lanarkshire council's artform team which delivers a range of tutoring within our local communities. We are currently seeking casual artform tutors in the following disciplines: drama and dance.
these roles provide an opportunity to really make a difference within our local communities and to enrich the opportunities for participants through the delivery of workshops & classes. If this appeals to you we would love to hear from you.
in order to be a success in these roles, you will require to be trained and skilled to hnd/svq4 level or equivalent in a relevant discipline to one of the above artforms. You will be experienced, creative and enthusiastic about arts in the community. You will require to be well organised, flexible and give attention to detail. In addition, you will bring previous experience in tutoring and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
you will require the ability to lead, work alone or as part of a team. You will be required to travel around the north lanarkshire area and ideally hold a current driving licence valid for driving in the uk.
you will require to become a protecting vulnerable groups (pvg) scheme member through disclosure scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
responsibilities- casual roles with no fixed hours or working pattern.
- willingness to work daytime, evenings, weekends and public holidays and to attend training sessions.
- hours of work offered will be in line with the community arts programme and availability discussed at interview.
- deliver workshops & classes in drama and dance within local communities.
- trained to hnd/svq4 level or equivalent in a relevant discipline to drama or dance.
- experience tutoring and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- ability to lead and work independently or as part of a team.
- ability to travel within north lanarkshire; driving licence preferred.
- pvg membership through disclosure scotland and satisfactory check prior to commencing.
the hourly rate is £15.75 - £16.74. These are casual roles with no fixed hours or working pattern.
