an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our support services team within community operations where you will play a key role in delivering a high-quality support service.

as you would expect, the post will be both challenging and varied and will deal mainly with the administration duties for built environment & protective services, overseeing the processing of all administrative tasks required and supervising a small team of staff, ensuring all aspects of the remit are managed efficiently and accurately in line with council policies and procedures.

to be successful in this role, you must possess a svq3, hnc, apprenticeship or equivalent. As part of a team, you will also be required to undertake a range of administrative duties including computer data input/processing and reporting, supervision of staff, have a good knowledge of both financial and personnel related matters and dealing with enquiries from members of the public and elected officials.

excellent communication and keyboard skills are essential along with excellent organisational, supervisory, communication and interpersonal skills together with relevant and substantial experience in an administrative/clerical team environment.

working pattern:

monday - thursday: 08:45am - 16:45pm

friday: 08:45am - 16:15pm

* for all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
