Our TEAM Seattle office is seeking full-time Level II MT/PT/UTT Technicians to work in Moses Lake, WA.
General Summary
The Nondestructive Testing (NDT) technician will independently perform inspections using various NDT techniques to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions according to specific written criteria. The technician will interpret indications, report results, and communicate processes, procedures, and results to customers.
Essential Job Functions
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices, and legal regulations, alerting others to potential hazards.Perform all duties as assigned, adhering to TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.Assist the Senior Technician and instruct apprentice-level personnel on the job.Study to gain NDT certifications while gaining hands-on experience in various methods.Perform duties assigned by the Senior Technician.Supervise apprentice-level personnel as needed.Maintain NDT certification.Perform NDT inspections for which certified.Interpret and report inspection results, maintaining documentation of activities.Job Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.Understanding of basic math.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer use.Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least 2 methods.Previous certification to Level II in at least one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred.Travel availability; 0-75%.Ability to handle chemicals safely.Ability to follow instructions.Work Conditions
Position based at a branch or site location.Work involves indoor and outdoor activities in a plant environment.Interaction with crew, supervisors, and clients.Work around machinery with high noise levels.Must wear safety equipment as required.Potential travel to multiple sites and tolerate climate changes.Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.Physical and Mental Requirements
Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.Ability to walk, climb, and perform manual tasks.Effective communication skills, with or without accommodations.Good observation skills.Manual dexterity for routine duties.Mobility for site access, including ladders and stairs.Ability to maintain focus and multitask.Excellent communication skills.This description is intended to outline the tasks and difficulty levels of the role and does not restrict management’s right to assign other duties.
