Job Overview

We are looking for a part‑time associate to help create an outstanding customer experience in our pharmacy/department. This role focuses on exceptional service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and supporting our department manager in achieving sales, profit, and quality goals.

Location:

Portland, Oregon.

$19.38/hr – $23.11/hr

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service.
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return.
• Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals for the department.
• Monitor all established quality assurance standards.
• Embrace the Customer 1st strategy and encourage associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Role model and demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.
• Price, label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Review "sell by" dates and take appropriate action.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identifying unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate manager of items in need of repair.
• Notify management of any accidents or safety risks.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of promotions and specials.
• Recommend items to customers to meet their needs.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Communicate effectively and manage stressful situations.

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Must be able to perform essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Retail experience.
• Second language speaking, reading and/or writing.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Knowledge of products sold within the department and ability to answer customer questions.
• Ability to offer product samples and recommend items.
• Ability to stay current with promotions.
• Experience in safety compliance and incident reporting.
