The Bellingham Bells are a summer collegiate, wood bat baseball team competing as part of the West Coast League. The Bells participate in a 57-game season during June, July, and August, with home games held at Joe Martin Field in Bellingham, WA, and away games played against teams in Washington, Oregon, British Columbia, and Alberta. Dedicated to providing affordable, family-friendly entertainment, the Bells aim to foster a strong sense of community and local engagement.
The team is deeply committed to creating memorable experiences for fans and supporting the vibrancy of the Bellingham community.
This is a part-time, seasonal (through August 31) on-site role located in Bellingham, WA, for a Marketing and Promotions Assistant. The Marketing and Promotions Assistant will be responsible for assisting with the development and execution of promotional events, implementing promotional strategies to engage fans, creating content for social media, email marketing and in-game graphics, supporting marketing campaigns, and assisting with market research.
Additional duties include providing exceptional customer service and engaging with the community to promote the Bellingham Bells' brand. This position will work all Bellingham Bells home games, in addition to other hours in the Bells business office.
- Assist with content creation for social media, direct email, and scoreboard
- Assist with direct email campaign scheduling and automation
- Assist with marketing cross promotion campaigns with premiere Whatcom County events
- Oversee Bells Street Team and delivery of marketing collateral around Whatcom County
- Oversee growth of Tik Tok channel
- Arrange and coordinate appearances at community events
- Coordinate game promotions details, including scripts, national anthems, first pitches, baseball buddies and bat kids
- Organize and plan ballpark playlists
- Assist with special promotions
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience with Sales Promotion and Market Research
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills
- Proven Customer Service skills and ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact with people of diverse backgrounds
- Passion for sports and community engagement
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Status: Part-time, seasonal (estimated 24-28 hours per week, ending August 31, 2026)
Hourly Rate: $22/hour
