Summary
Whatcom County’s Administrative Services Facilities Management division is recruiting for the position of Facilities Supervisor. If you have excellent supervisory and project management skills and are looking for rewarding work that will have a positive impact on our community, we hope to hear about your qualifications to fill this key role at Whatcom County. The Facilities Supervisor is a critical member of our leadership team, overseeing and performing tasks related to maintenance, construction and repair of facilities, grounds, operating systems and equipment.

- Supervising a crew of maintenance and construction staff;
- Managing demanding maintenance programs and construction projects;
- Promoting and supporting the mission of the Department;
- Assisting the Facilities Management in project planning, scoping and scheduling staff and materials.

Supervisor: Associate Manager - Facilities
Hours of Work: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM | Monday - Friday
Salary Range: $6,410 - $9,308 - Unrepresented

Hiring rate depends on qualifications. This position receives annual pay increases to the next step in the salary range (approx. 3.8%), subject to satisfactory performance, in addition to any negotiated Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA).
We are required by State Law to list the full salary range. As a public entity and in a union-covered position, pay decisions are based on experience, qualifications, and equity with other employees. Hiring rate typically is limited to the entry to mid of the posted salary range, subject to required approvals.
Qualifications- Requires an Associate’s Degree AND at least two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience AND one or more of the following:
- five (5) years journeyman level construction trades experience;
- five (5) years project management or foreman experience in construction industry;
- five (5) years experience in facility and grounds maintenance.
At its sole discretion, Whatcom County may consider combinations of education, experience, certifications, and training in lieu of specifically required qualifications contained herein.
