An established, independent investment management firm is hiring a Head of Investment Advisory Services to lead, scale, and elevate its wealth management and advisory function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for setting strategy, strengthening client relationships, developing advisors, and driving sustainable growth across a ~$500M AUM platform. You’ll inherit an established team and book of business and be charged with making it better.
You’ll be responsible for refining offerings, improving processes, and positioning the advisory group for its next phase of growth. This role is designed for a seasoned, entrepreneurial investment leader who knows how to build and lead advisory teams, thinks strategically about clients and products, and is energized by accountability, ownership, and long-term impact.
Salary Range: $ 162,000 - $254,000 / Year DOE
Head Of Investment Advisory Services Responsibilities- Lead and manage the investment advisory and wealth management team
- Set strategic direction for advisory services, client experience, and growth
- Coach, mentor, and develop advisors and senior team members
- Oversee portfolio construction, risk management, and client strategy
- Identify and implement new products, services, and client solutions
- Improve systems, workflows, and operational efficiency across the department
- Track industry trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities
- Ensure regulatory compliance and high standards of governance
- Partner with executive leadership to grow AUM and revenue
- Represent the firm externally through conferences, client meetings, and events
- 12 - 15+ years of experience in wealth management or investment advisory
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing advisors or client-facing teams
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
- Ability to obtain Series 7, Series 66, and SIE within 6 months
- Strong strategic, analytical, and people leadership skills
- Experience growing an RIA or advisory platform strongly preferred
- CFP designation highly preferred
- Comfortable working onsite full-time and relocating to Bellingham, WA
- Professional presence with the ability to engage clients and senior stakeholders
