The organization provides robust operational support, experienced clinical leadership infrastructure, and comprehensive in-house resources for credentialing, licensing, and visa sponsorship.

Opportunity:
Serve as a Medical Director, Hospital Medicine, leading a well-established program in Bellingham, WA. This role offers a balanced blend of clinical practice and dedicated administrative leadership time, allowing physicians to shape program development, mentor clinicians, and strengthen hospital partnerships while maintaining a meaningful clinical presence.

Details:

  • Lead a team of 25 physicians and 7 advanced practice providers

  • Work collaboratively with associate medical directors, clinical performance nurses, program management, and hospital leadership

  • Diverse physician team with strong local roots and community engagement

  • Closed ICU during daytime hours with 24/7 intensivist coverage; no procedures or codes required

  • Provide clinical oversight, quality initiatives, and team development

  • Flexible scheduling with protected administrative time to support leadership responsibilities

  • Commitment to community involvement and long-term program growth

Qualifications:

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

  • Minimum of 2 years of formal hospital-based leadership experience

Compensation:

  • Competitive annual salary over $385,000, plus performance incentives
