Position: CSR / Receptionist

Pet Vet Care Centers' Chuckanut Valley Veterinary Clinic is currently seeking CSR / Receptionist to join their team!

Position Overview

The Customer Service Representative / Receptionist contributes to the success of a high‑performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and during high‑stress situations.
  • Manage lobby flow, address concerns, calm distressed owners, and schedule appointments.
  • Handle basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well‑being.
  • Assist with medication pickups, inquiries, and provide information about services and products.
  • Input and manage data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
  • Assist with retail sales, weigh pets, process faxes, and maintain records.
  • Reconcile cash drawer and perform end‑of transactions.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Background in call center work preferred; any face‑to‑face customer service role is also valuable.
  • Key qualities include friendliness, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
  • Background in animal welfare; previous experience in a veterinary clinic highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Cornerstone or other veterinary practice management software.
  • Ability to efficiently schedule doctors’ time and manage clinic appointments.
  • Strong communication skills for responding to clients in a friendly and timely manner.
Schedule
  • 7 AM – 6 PM, Monday
  • 8 AM – 5 PM, Tuesday‑Friday
  • One day off per week, determined by scheduling needs
  • 4‑day work week with Mondays mandatory

Pay Range

$18.20 — $22.24 USD
