Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Grant Accountant located in Bellingham, WA. The Grant Accountant will be responsible for maintaining financial records related to grants, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial data, ensuring compliance with grant requirements, and providing thorough reporting and documentation for all assigned grants. The role may involve coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure proper accounting practices and financial accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Experience with Financial Statements, Journal Entries, and Account Reconciliation
- Strong Analytical Skills and ability to work with complex financial data
- Knowledge of Financial Reporting standards and practices related to grant accounting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in grant or fund accounting is preferred but not mandatory
