Chemistry​/Biology Teacher

Description

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably with a major or minor in Science or related field of study.
• Preferred at least two years of experience as an Science teacher in a comprehensive high school setting.
• Should have a relentless focus on ensuring all students are successful in meeting learning targets.
• Knowledge of and advocacy for the mission of Catholic Education.

• Master’s Degree in Education, Science, or a related field.
• General Secondary or Single Subject Credential in Science or equivalent.
• Understanding of educating students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
• Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS) and Google Apps for Education (e.g., Google Docs, Google Sheets) in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) or 1:1 technology environment.
• Active collaborator and communicator with fellow educators, counselors, students, parents, and administration.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
