AboutThe Role
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) supports Project Managers and senior leadership through all phases of commercial construction projects — from preconstruction through closeout. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that projects are delivered with accuracy, timeliness, and integrity — hallmarks of Howard CDM’s reputation for quality and craftsmanship. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow into a future leadership role while working hands‑on with construction and development professionals.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Support project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and closeout activities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, vendors, and field staff.
- Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, budgets, and schedules.
- Prepare contracts, reports, and meeting documentation.
- Monitor quality, safety, and compliance on active projects.
- Learn Howard CDM’s management systems (Procore, Sage 300, Bluebeam).
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of commercial construction project coordination or management support. - Experience or aptitude with Procore, Sage 300 CRE, Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel & Project.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Salary: $91,500 – $101,500 (DOE)
