Responsibilities
Lead, collaborate, and execute on research that pushes forward the state of the art in multimodal reasoning and generation researchWork towards long-term research goals, while identifying intermediate milestonesDirectly contribute to experiments, including designing experimental details, developing reusable code, running evaluations, and organizing resultsContribute to publications and open-sourcing effortsMentor other team membersPlay a significant role in healthy cross-functional collaborationPrioritize research that can be applied to Meta's product developmentMinimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experienceCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining MetaCurrently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related technical fieldsExperience in developing interactive solutions for computer vision, natural language processing, or computer graphicsDirect experience in generative AI and LLM researchMust obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employmentPreferred Qualifications
Experience solving complex problems and comparing alternative solutions, tradeoffs, and different perspectives to determine a path forwardExperience with deep learning frameworks (such as pytorch, tensor flow) and PythonProven track record of achieving significant results as demonstrated by grants, fellowships, patents, as well as publications at leading workshops, journals or conferences in Machine Learning (NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR), Robotics (ICRA, IROS, RSS, CoRL), Computer Vision (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV)Demonstrated research and software engineering experience via an internship, work experience, coding competitions, or widely used contributions in open source repositories (e.g. Git Hub)Experience working and communicating cross functionally in a team environmentExperience with manipulating and analyzing complex, large scale, high-dimensionality data from varying sourcesPublic Compensation
$74.04/hour to $217,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
