About the RoleSenior Software Engineers in the Data Platform team are end‑to‑end owners of data‑focused products. You will collaborate with data engineers, data analysts, solution architects, and business intelligence partners to design, implement, and maintain optimized data sets that power key business functions. Your work will also set the framework and guardrails that ensure data quality, compliance, and stability across our ecosystem.
Responsibilities- Shaping the vision and execution of how the company manages data across its lifecycle—from curated internal datasets to production features and privacy‑centric exports for partners.
- Building solutions that enable data transparency throughout the organization by improving metadata and data lineage processes.
- Designing and owning foundational datasets that reduce redundant and costly downstream transformations across the data ecosystem.
- Collaborating closely with Legal, Security, and Governance teams to ensure responsible and compliant usage of data as a steward of the internal platform.
- Helping define and uphold standards for data quality, observability, and lineage to increase trust and traceability across the organization.
- Strong communicator who builds robust datasets that provide value across multiple functions.
- Passion for making large‑scale systematic improvements.
- Expert in building and tuning large‑scale data pipelines in Spark.
- Experience building complex data pipelines in Airflow is a plus.
- Track record of leading engineers and making significant, self‑directed, end‑to‑end contributions to large, impactful projects.
- Driver of technical projects with the ability to plan tasks, conduct code reviews, and contribute code.
- Strong grasp of engineering fundamentals and the ability to adapt solutions to our unique environment.
- Broad engineering skill set with experience building always‑on systems across a range of technologies and service layers.
- Product‑focused mindset with a passion for discovering client‑delighting features.
- Confidence, humility, and the ability to evaluate trade‑offs and advocate for the best solutions.

Salary range (CO, CA, IL, NY, WA, and Washington DC residents only): $124,900—$228,900 USD per year.
Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage (full premium for employees and dependents), 401(k) plan with company match, short‑ and long‑term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well‑being benefits, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation up to 120 hours in the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and 13 paid holidays per year.
