Overview
Summary: Meta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team. As an engineering manager you will support, enable and empower your team, managing high performing engineers to make a meaningful impact on billions of people around the world. Software Engineering Managers are clearly characterized by progressive technical experience and demonstrated progression in management responsibility.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage a team of software engineers to deliver high-quality products and solutionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to drive technical innovationDevelop and implement technical strategies to achieve business objectivesFoster an environment of continuous learning, growth, and improvementMinimum Qualifications
8+ years of, or PhD + 4 years of software engineering work experience, including hands on technical managementDemonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance managementBachelor of Science/Masters in Computer Science or equivalent practical experienceExperience supporting, coaching, mentoring, and developing software engineers2+ years of experience in managing a team of engineers with varied skill levelsPreferred Qualifications
Experience in leading teams working on high performance computing (HPC) and AI/ML systems, including: GPU/ASIC-based kernel development and optimization (e.g. CUDA, ROCm), distributed systems for large scale training and serving, and systems architecture and performanceAccelerator (GPU/ASIC) kernel development and optimizationExperience in accelerating libraries on AI hardware, similar to cuBLAS, cuDNN, CUTLASS, HIP, ROCm etcExperience with different programming models for high-performance computations, e.g. GPU CUDA programming or OpenCL or OpenMP programmingExperience working closely with hardware architectures such as Intel SIMD, GPU, RISC-V, AI Accelerators etcExperience in hardware-software bring-up development environments such as simulators, FPGA emulators etcKnowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, Tensor Flow, ONNX, MXNet, etcPublic Compensation
Public Compensation: $177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
