Job Description

Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service. Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages customers to return. Assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and monitor quality assurance standards. • Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Make customers feel welcome and appreciated by answering questions.
• Maintain knowledge of products and suggest items to customers.
• Recommend grocery items and inform customers of specials.
• Check product quality and review sell‑by dates.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with promotions.
• Adhere to food safety regulations.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs.
• Enforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections.
• Notify management of accidents, safety risks, and illegal activity.
• Perform essential job functions with/without accommodation.

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Basic math skills (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Effective communication skills.
• Any retail experience.
• Second language (speaking, reading, or writing).
