In the production plant, the Maintenance Technician performs general facility maintenance. The production environment runs 24/7; the technician maintains, repairs, disassembles, and troubleshoots complex equipment in production processes. There is high-speed automated production machinery and other manufacturing equipment.

• Provide support to production lines by troubleshooting failures and performing repairs to production and facility equipment to maximize efficiency
• Complete all assigned work orders and preventative maintenance tasks through SAP
• Participate in rebuilds and overhauls on production lines and support equipment
• Assist with parts management by ensuring parts are checked out of stock and communicating deficiencies to the Parts Planner
• Provide consistent communication with maintenance staff through End of Shift reports
• Support the Swire Manufacturing Continuous Improvement (SMCI) process by participating in routines with production operators and addressing top causes of downtime
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental policies, practices, and programs
• Operate SAP Computerized Maintenance Management System for inventory and production line operational excellence
• Clean tools, parts and equipment after line rebuilds/repairs/maintenance
• Install new equipment as necessary and provide technical training/support to production with lean supply chain initiatives
• Operate and monitor equipment and replenish materials as needed
• Perform quality reviews of equipment to maintain safety and performance standards

• Trade school certification preferred
• 2+ years of maintenance experience
• Excellent mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems
• Ability to learn new software and interfaces quickly; strong computer skills
• Carpentry, Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, Welding, Fabrication, docks and doors, security systems
• Production facility repairs as assigned
• Knowledge of manufacturing, production operators, and industrial technology preferred
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
