Role Overview

When it comes to health and safety, we’re helping our clients protect our communities. As the Health & Safety (H&S) Professional, you’ll provide guidance and leadership in developing, implementing, and administering safety, health, occupational health, fire protection and prevention, and equipment and property protection. We have an immediate opportunity for a Sr Safety Manager in Louisiana.

Based in Baton Rouge, LA you’ll assess the Health & Safety performance of projects, generate reports with recommendations, review and assist with training of operations personnel, lead teams to improve safety metrics, communicate gaps, investigate accidents, and prepare all pertinent forms and reports per program procedures and federal, state, and local regulations. You’ll issue entry permits, conduct industrial hygiene samplings, and mentor team members to discover what drives them.

• At minimum an AS in environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, safety, or related field
• A minimum of 12-15 years of full‑time experience in a Health & Safety position
• A minimum of 3-5 years of Health and Safety supervisory experience
• Experience working on large projects with multiple work areas
• Previous experience in a construction and general industry environment
• Experience managing and conducting safety training presentations
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
• Ability to travel and work at project locations
• Possess a valid driver’s license with no major infractions
• Demonstrated interpersonal relations and personnel management skills
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and all federal, state, and local agency requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in either environmental science, engineering, industrial hygiene, safety, or related field
