About The Role
As a CBRE HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems by conducting proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You’ll Do- Assign tasks to team members and ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, adjust, service and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems used for building HVAC/R systems and equipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge within the function, including related disciplines.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values; work to build consensus and reach agreements.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies; explain difficult or sensitive information when needed.
- EPA Universal preferred
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, including calculations of percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation. The minimum rate for the HVAC Technician position is $25.48 per hour and the maximum rate is $46.60 per hour. The offered compensation will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
