The following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.
Job Duties- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facilities approximately daily.
Orientation and training provided on the job.
CommunicationAbility to comprehend and give correct written instructions. Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills- Perform basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used). Make correct monetary change.
- Verbal, written, and telephone skills required.
- Motor coordination for rapid, accurate movements.
- Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
Exposure to varying and adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks; in‑store temperatures range from 36 °F (in cooler) to 90 °F or higher in some areas; sudden temperature changes; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools up to 500 °F or higher; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Physical Demands- Standing: most tasks performed standing; walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum; work surfaces height 36–48 in.
- Walking: short distances, short duration.
- Sitting: paperwork completed on office desk or table.
- Lifting: bulk product deliveries (twice a week or more) using hand truck; cases up to 50 lb, dimensions up to 3 ft × 1.5 ft; stocked onto shelves up to 72 in high.
- Carrying: items up to 30 lb from storage to front; trays of pizza dough up to 12 lb.
- Pushing: trays on dollies approx 24–30 in requiring up to 7.5 lb force.
- Climbing: navigate stairs or ladder to change prices, wash walls, maintain equipment.
- Bending: forward bending at waist for assembly station; repeated 30–45 sec at a time.
- Crouching/Squatting: occasional for stocking shelves, cleaning low areas.
- Reaching: up, down, forward; above 72 in for oven controls; down for scooping cornmeal; forward for toppings or answering phones.
- Hand tasks: eye‑hand coordination, frequent use of hands and forearms; manipulate pizza peel, rolling cutter, pizza boxes.
Use of pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
Additional Duties for Driver or Store Management PositionsJob Duties
Deliver product by car to customer door; deliver flyers and door hangers.
Requirements- Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
- Access to insured vehicle that can be used for delivery.
Navigational skills to read map, locate addresses within designated delivery area; navigate adverse terrain, multi‑story buildings, private homes.
Physical Demands (Drivers)- Carrying: carry pizzas, sides, beverages while walking and climbing.
- Driving: deliver pizzas within designated area; multiple deliveries per shift.
- Walking: travel between store and vehicle, and from vehicle to customer's location.
- Climbing: navigate five or more flights of stairs while delivering.
Exposure to varying and adverse weather conditions during delivery; far and night vision required for driving.
