Trust & Estates Paralegal

Innovation Driven is seeking a Trust and Estates Paralegal to join the team at an outstanding law firm in Bellevue, Washington.

This is a fulltime and onsite position at the law firms office in Bellevue, Washington.

The law firm provides a comprehensive compensation and benefits package which includes commuter allowance, paid time off, life, health, accident, and disability insurance; health savings accounts; and a 401(k) plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Draft correspondence regarding estate administration, including communications with clients, to accountants and taxing authorities, as well as third-party requests for information
• Prepare bequest and trust funding calculation, and plans of distribution
• Draft Deeds, Promissory Notes and LLC Agreements
• Obtain federal estate and trust tax identification numbers
• Draft estate planning documents including Wills, DPOA’s, Trusts, QPRTs and Health Care Directives
• Draft explanatory correspondence to clients detailing the proposed estate planning documents
• Manage all aspects of probate and trust administration from inception through conclusion
• Draft probate pleadings, inventories of assets, and asset transfer documents
• Prepare federal and Washington estate tax returns (ideally experience with GEMs)
• Obtain federal estate and trust tax identification numbers
• Calendar probate and estate tax return deadlines

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 5 years of Trust and Estates experience
