Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the legal services industry, is seeking a Labor and Employment Paralegal to join their team. As a Labor and Employment Paralegal, you will be part of the Legal Department supporting the employment law team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Labor and Employment Paralegal
Location: Bellevue, WA. HYBRID (onsite 3 days a week). Training may be fully ONSITE.
Responsibilities- Assist with the response to third-party legal requests (subpoenas, summons, search warrants, etc.) for employment records and information.
- Collect data and documentation from multiple sources and individuals in response to third-party requests.
- Support multiple cases from initiation through resolution, including agency charges and demand letters.
- Provide litigation support to other paralegals, including the collection, organization, and production of documents.
- Manage and update case dockets, maintain files within the matter management system, and draft litigation holds for assigned cases.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in labor and employment law.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Effective time management, prioritization, and multi-tasking abilities.
- Experience with MS Office Suite, HRIS systems, applicant tracking systems, and legal software such as Workday, DocuSignCM, and Team Connect.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; knowledge of legal research software like Courtlink and Lexis Nexis is preferred.
