About the role
As Assistant Director,Strategic Solutions, you will lead high-performing technical teams consisting of Sales Technology Managers, Business System Analysts, Business Technical Analysts, and Business Analysts. These teams support the configuration and execution of business capabilities for the enterprise Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Marketing Automation, and/or Electronic Order Entry (EOE) platforms as well as additional sales and distribution applications, tools, data, and technical processes.
You will guide ongoing development, maintenance and acquisition of data from a multitude of internal and external sources into SaaS platforms, including its related reporting and data analytics.
You will be responsible for overseeing your team's technical solutions and configuration activities to ensure the delivery of business capabilities and to support a positive advisor and employee experience. You will plan, direct, organize, staff, and control all aspects of development and systems life cycle management, including system and technology selection, contract negotiation, implementation, and production support. You will also oversee technical delivery, training, project management, change management, testing, resource allocation, and budget management related to configuration efforts.
What you will do
- Lead and develop high performing technical teams supporting enterprise CRM, Marketing Automation, EOE, and related sales and distribution platforms.
- Oversee configuration, execution, and continuous improvement of business capabilities, including data integration, reporting, and analytics across SaaS solutions.
- Direct all aspects of systems life cycle management, including technology selection, vendor negotiations, implementation, and production support.
- Ensure effective delivery through governance of technical execution, training, project and change management, testing, resource planning, and budget oversight.

Compensation
Salary Range: $117,000 - $195,100 plus eligibility for the company annual bonus program.
Who You Are:
- High School Diploma is required, plus a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- 9-12 years of industry experience or familiarity with industry standards, key partners, and core platforms; able to align solutions to both business needs and industry expectations.
- A growth-minded leader who is excited about developing teams, driving transformation, and bringing fresh ideas to improve and accelerate how work gets done while implementing improvements in AI, QA, and process or test automation.
- Technically fluent and bilingual in business and technology, and able to translate complex concepts across audiences.
- Experienced with scaled agile delivery practices and knowledgeable in SQL and Python, with the ability to guide technical conversations and decision-making.
- A highly adaptable communicator who can engage effectively with senior customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- A persuasive, collaborative, and decisive leader who navigates sensitive partner relationships, and drives alignment across teams.

All newly hired people leaders with direct reports are required to complete a comprehensive leadership development program within their first year. This program includes both virtual and in-person training. The in-person sessions will take place at Symetra's corporate headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.
