Job Title: Senior AWS GenAI & Cloud Solutions Architect

Focus: AWS Bedrock | Generative AI | Startup POCs

Location: Remote (US-based preferred)

AES is launching and scaling a startup-focused innovation business unit, and we are looking for senior AWS Cloud Architects with deep Generative AI experience, particularly around AWS Bedrock (‘Amazon Bedrock Agents’ and ‘Amazon Bedrock Agent Core’) and modern AI-enabled cloud architectures.

Our clients are innovative startups, ranging from seed-funded through Series C, who are actively experimenting with GenAI to build new products, accelerate development, and validate ideas quickly. These clients need architects who can design, prototype, and operationalize GenAI solutions in weeks, not months.

• Building GenAI proofs of concept (POCs) and MVPs
• Working hands-on with AWS Bedrock and foundation models
• Partnering directly with startup founders, CTOs, and product leaders
• Turning early ideas into real, testable AI-driven solutions

AES is a 22-year-old niche boutique consulting firm with a strong history of delivering high-quality technology solutions for large enterprise customers.

Building on this foundation, AES has launched a dedicated startup and innovation-focused business unit. This group combines startup agility and experimentation with enterprise-grade delivery discipline.

• Architect and deliver Generative AI solutions using AWS Bedrock
• Design and implement GenAI POCs, pilots, and MVPs for startup clients
• Work with foundation models (Claude, Titan, Llama, etc.) via Bedrock
• Build RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures
• Design scalable GenAI platforms with:
  • Vector databases
  • Embeddings pipeline
  • Secure data ingestion layers
• Integrate GenAI solutions into cloud-native and containerized architectures
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and data teams
• Evaluate new AWS AI services and recommend best-fit solutions
• Translate ambiguous product ideas into working GenAI systems

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock (‘Amazon Bedrock Agents’ and ‘Amazon Bedrock Agent Core’)
• Deep understanding of GenAI architectures and design patterns
• Experience with:
  • Prompt engineering
  • Model orchestration
  • Guardrails, security, and governance for GenAI
• Containerization and orchestration:
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes (EKS)
  • ECS / Fargate
• Cloud-native AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, Dynamo
  
  DB, etc.)
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / Cloud Formation)

• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture or advanced cloud engineering
• Demonstrated experience delivering GenAI POCs or production solutions
• Strong AWS foundation with Solutions Architect–level expertise
• Experience working in fast-paced, startup or innovation environments
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• AWS Certifications - Solutions Architect – Professional (Required)
• Generative AI Developer – Professional (Nice to have)
