Teradata, UNIX Architect

• Strong requirement elicitation & analysis skills.
• Ability to understand requirements, convert them to design, and pass them to the team seamlessly.
• Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, manage timelines, escalation, and provide on-time status.
• Good knowledge in data warehousing concepts and logical/physical database design.
• Extensive knowledge of the Teradata database, data warehousing and information architecture.
• Excellent understanding of Teradata architecture. Knowledge of Teradata CLDM will be an asset.
• Hands-on experience in performing optimization and tuning activities in Teradata.
• Hands-on experience in Stored Procedures, BTEQ, and Teradata utilities for loading and exporting data.
• Should come up with work estimation and provide inputs to managers on resource and risk planning.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Unix shell scripting.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication.

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7 years of experience with Information Technology.
