You Are:UST is looking for a talented, experienced and creative Cloud Application Architect. The Cloud Application Architect will be working with one of the leading Wholesale retailers in the US. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
The opportunity:- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) to support application modernization.
- Know how of data analytics and AI/ML initiatives is a plus.
- Migrate legacy applications to modern cloud architectures using services like Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine (GKE), App Engine, and Cloud Functions.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across Google Cloud Platform services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, present solutions, and ensure successful project delivery. Stay up to date on the latest Google Cloud Platform technologies and trends.
- Works with IT Architecture staff (Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, Data Teams), Software developers and IT Managers designing solutions that meet the requirements; assists in analysis of the solution design business case.
- 15+ years of work experience, at least 7+ years with cloud platforms.
- Google Cloud Platform, Cloud, Architecture, Kubernetes, Security, IAM, Networking, Terraform, Apigee, API, Performance, Testing, Collaboration, Communication, Problem-Solving, Azure, Pipelines, Documentation, Agile, Dev Ops.
- Proficiency in Compute Engine, GKE, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Big Query, Dataflow, Dataproc.
- Experience with Cloud SQL, Apigee, API Gateway, security tools (IAM, Sailpoint, Security Command Center), networking services (VPC, Cloud Load Balancing), Terraform, or Deployment Manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues and optimize cloud solutions.
- Professional Cloud Architect preferred.
- GCP certification (or confirmation to get certified within 6 months of joining).
- .Net framework, C and .Net Core.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
