Position Summary

This is a unique opportunity to serve as the founding Washington Clinical Supervisor, partnering closely with executive leadership during market entry and growth. The Washington Clinical Supervisor will initially serve as the lead licensed clinician of record for insurance contracting and regulatory alignment in Washington State. As the associate team grows, the role will expand to include formal clinical supervision, documentation oversight, and KPI-based coaching.

Unlike full-time supervisors, this position does not include on-call responsibilities or crisis escalation coverage but maintains active collaboration with the Clinical Leadership Team to ensure consistent quality of care and alignment with organizational standards.

Core Responsibilities
Phase 1: (~3-8 hours/week, variable during contracting period)
  • Serve as the designated Washington State LICSW for insurance credentialing and payer contracting
  • Support completion of payer applications and clinical documentation requirements
  • Review contracts as needed in collaboration with leadership
  • Advise on Washington-specific regulatory and supervision requirements
  • Provide consultation to VP of Clinical Services regarding WA scope-of-practice compliance
  • Participate in onboarding design for Washington associates
  • Attend biweekly leadership check-ins during launch phase

This phase may include periodic fluctuations in hours depending on contracting timelines.

Phase 2: (~5-15 hours/week depending on supervisee volume) 1. Clinical Supervision & Consultation
  • Supervise 5–15 Associate Licensed Clinicians (LICSW-A)
  • Conduct biweekly individual supervision sessions for each supervisee
  • Hold group supervision 2x per month focused on skill-building, documentation, or case discussion
  • Provide supervision rooted in ethics, cultural humility, and clinical best practices
  • Collaborate with the VP of Clinical Services for supervision alignment, feedback, and development support
2. Documentation & Clinical Quality Review
  • Review and sign off on supervisee documentation, including:
    • Intake assessments and diagnoses (within 48 hours)
    • Treatment plans and progress notes (within 7 days of session)
    • Mental status exams and clinical forms as applicable
  • Ensure documentation meets licensure, insurance, and MyWellbeing compliance standards.
  • Support supervises in accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and documentation of measurable progress.
3. KPI Oversight & Performance Coaching
  • Monitor and coach supervises on core performance indicators, including:
    • Attendance and utilization rates (sessions held vs. scheduled)
    • No-show and late-cancel rates
    • Active caseload size and capacity balance
    • Note compliance and timeliness
    • Retention and engagement (5+ sessions, 60+ days in care)
    • Client outcomes and discharge planning
  • Use clinical dashboards to track performance and communicate progress in supervision
  • Identify trends or barriers, coach for improvement, and elevate concerns or risk patterns to the VP of Clinical Services as needed
  • Collaborate on caseload transitions and coverage when supervises take leave or exit the practice
4. Performance Management & Professional Development
  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews with supervises
  • Partner with the Clinical Leadership Team to implement progressive discipline when indicated
  • Support supervises in goal setting, exam readiness, and professional growth
  • Address performance, documentation, or professionalism
