Monitor Technician - Per Diem; Nights

Overview

Overlake Medical Center's Progressive Cardiac Unit is seeking a Cardiac Monitor Technician to join our team. This 36-bed unit includes open heart, post vascular surgeries, stroke, intermediate care and telemetry care.

• Continuous observation of cardiac rhythm and recognition of cardiac arrhythmias.
• Documentation on monitor strips.
• Notify cardiac-trained RN of arrhythmia changes; the RN verifies the arrhythmia, treatment, and documentation on the patient s chart.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months experience in a health-related field required.
• Previous Cardiac Monitor Tech experience preferred.
• Must be able to pass the arrhythmia identification test prior to hire, or within introductory period.
• Familiarity with medical terminology preferred.
• Effective organization and interpersonal communication skills.
• Familiarity with computers required.
• EMR experience preferred.

Pay Range:
Hourly $27.98 - $41.97
Schedule: Per diem, night shift position. 12-hour shifts.
Minimum per diem requirement: 5 shifts per 4-week scheduling period, with one of these being a weekend.
