Medical Assistant

Overview

The Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient clinic operations and an excellent patient experience. Responsibilities include assisting providers during exams, performing basic clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records while adhering to confidentiality standards.

• Welcome and escort patients; record medical history and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Perform permitted clinical tasks (specimen collection, injections, venipuncture).
• Communicate instructions and schedule tests, treatments, and follow‑ups.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Manage patient records, referrals, and incoming calls/messages.
• Support safe, high‑quality care and excellent patient experience.

Education & Certification:

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• MA certification required (or must obtain within 6‑12 months per state requirements).
• CPR certification required.
• Registration with the state of Washington Department of Health required prior to start date.

Experience:

• 1+ years in an office‑based healthcare setting preferred.

Experience Industry: Healthcare

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow universal precautions and maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance.
• Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards and patient safety.

The expected pay for the position ranges from $18.51 ‑ $32.69 per hour. The actual pay range will be computed based on years of relevant experience.
