Financial Analyst

ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst to support Store Finance within a high-visibility Risk & Compliance function. This 6-month contract role will provide critical financial and accounting support across multiple retail networks, partnering closely with finance and accounting teams to execute internal controls, forecasting, and compliance initiatives in Bellevue, WA
. This position is open due to a leave of absence and offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment with exposure to SEC compliance and cross‑network financial operations.

The ideal candidate brings strong GAAP accounting knowledge, prior finance experience (former Amazon Finance experience strongly preferred), and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards and ownership over deliverables.

• Support finance and accounting matters including budgeting, forecasting, expense tracking, and control
• Execute and monitor internal financial controls across supported networks
• Partner with accounting to ensure compliance with GAAP and SEC reporting standards
• Provide financial and operational analysis to business partners and site leadership
• Assist with risk assessment and compliance‑related financial projects
• Support projects currently on hold and provide cross‑network financial support as needed
• Perform variance analysis and connect financial impacts across multiple networks
• Build and maintain financial models for forecasting and reconciliation
• Write and execute system queries to gather financial data
• Conduct data mining and analysis using Excel, SQL, Cognos, or similar tools
• Present findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of relevant finance or accounting experience
• Experience in audit, risk, and compliance functions, including executing internal financial controls
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, pivot tables, complex formulas)
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience partnering cross‑functionally with finance and accounting teams

• Experience with SQL, Cognos, or Essbase
• Strong business judgment and ability to connect financial insights across networks
