Indirect Tax Analyst

Seattle Search Group is partnering with a large, established organization seeking an Indirect Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team. This hybrid role is based on the Eastside and offers exposure to multi-state sales and use tax compliance within a complex operating environment.

This position is ideal for an accounting professional early in their career who enjoys research, compliance, audit support, and working with detailed regulatory matters.

Research and interpret multi-state indirect tax laws (sales, use, and related transaction taxes)

Support state and local tax audits, including documentation preparation and issue resolution

Assist with maintaining tax procedures and exemption documentation

Analyze tax discrepancies and apply jurisdictional requirements

Support tax system maintenance across ERP and tax software platforms

Respond to internal tax inquiries from various departments

Participate in special projects and data-driven tax analysis

1+ year of indirect tax experience (sales and use tax required)

Exposure to multi-state compliance or audit environments

Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets

Solid foundation in accounting principles

Ability to research tax regulations and apply findings appropriately

Strong written communication and documentation skills

Degree in Accounting or related discipline

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

Familiarity with tax software such as Vertex or similar platforms

Exposure to BI tools or database analysis software is a plus

Target base salary range: high $70
