We re looking for a skilled Sr CAD Technician who thrives in a collaborative environment and is excited to contribute to the design and construction of vital transportation structures—bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and more. You ll work alongside experienced engineers, using cutting-edge tools and software to turn concepts into reality.
What You’ll Do- Produce detailed CADD drawings, layouts, and graphics for a variety of transportation structures including reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and steel designs.
- Translate engineering markups into polished construction documents, maintaining precision and consistency.
- Use state-of-the-art software such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, Power InRoads, Civil3D and Open Roads Designer.
- Support design tasks under the direction of licensed engineers using industry standards such as AASHTO.
- Maintain structured drawing files, adhere to company drafting standards, and support project-specific standards as needed.
- Collaborate through file-sharing systems like Project Wise and participate in quality assurance reviews.
- Track quantities, update contract drawings, and contribute to project success within scope, budget, and schedule.
- 10+ years of drafting experience with a focus on bridge or structural engineering projects.
- Associate of Applied Science in Civil Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.
- Proficiency in Power InRoads, Micro Station/open Roads, and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Experience with transportation projects and/or Washington State Department of Transportation, local city and county projects.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for precision.
