Role Overview

As a Senior Structural Engineer professional based within the Advanced Manufacturing team, you’ll work on a variety of projects related to Data Centers, including new builds, retrofits, and colocations. You'll perform various aspects of structural engineering assignments, increasing the depth and breadth of familiarity with design methods and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis, create computer models for structures, design member and foundation calculations.
  • Assist with material take-offs, miscellaneous calculations, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and designers on capital projects, liaise with internal professionals and design departments.
  • Coordinate designs with other Jacobs offices both domestic and international.
  • Grow technically and professionally, expanding leadership role within the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • 8+ years of professional experience in structural engineering
  • Registered Professional Engineer; ability to obtain registration in additional states
  • Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Revit, Micro Station, S3D) and structural analysis (RISA, STAAD)
  • Knowledge of ACI, AISC, ASCE 7, AIST Technical Report 13 and other industry design codes
  • Knowledge of Building Codes; proficiency with MS Office and MS Teams
  • Ability to travel to client sites (10–20%)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science in Engineering
  • Experience with heavy industrial projects such as casting and rolling operations
  • Leadership experience delivering commitments on schedule and on budget while meeting quality and client expectations
