Whatwill I be doing?
Blueprint is looking for a temporary Training Content Designer to be part of the team. This role’s expected duration is approximately 3-4 months.
As a Training Content Designer
, you will partner closely with subject matter experts and department leaders to create dynamic and strategic training content to help the organization meet a variety of business needs and objectives. The ideal candidate will be a driven and motivated individual who is excited to put their training content design skills to use.
- Partner directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (virtual, classroom, self‑lead) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes.
- Maintain and revise existing learning content based on end user performance and feedback. Create measurable improvements across existing programs both in terms of efficacy and scale.
- Apply instructional design best practices to create learning content that is both effective and engaging.
- Monitor performance metrics (content completion, survey feedback), optimize content based on data insights, and report out the impact and outcomes of training content.
- Serve as a trainer of content developed.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing training curriculum.
- 5+ years of instructional design experience (preferred).
- Certifications in learning and/or project management such as CPLP, CPTD, PMP, etc. (preferred).
- Exceptional writing skills with the ability to distill complex topics and procedures into simple and friendly language.
- Ability to write clear and engaging content for a variety of formats, and tailor your writing style as needed for different deliverables and audiences.
- Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and verbal formats.
- Open collaborative style; ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction.
- Strong time management, organizational and project management skills.
- Comfortable in environments with shifting priorities.
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of management.
- Experience in a fast paced, customer focused environment.
- Curiosity to understand the strategic priorities of the business and how learning and development can best address skill and knowledge gaps in the workforce.
- Skilled with design tools commonly used in a learning creation environment (MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Articulate Storyline, iSpring Studio & Camtasia Studio).
Availability
- Ability to work remotely with occasional onsite days for in‑person training based on engagement or business requirements and in alignment with the organization’s work‑from‑home policy.
- Comfort with working in a traditional office environment, which involves working indoors without exposure to outside elements.
